Social bookmarking, twitter, facebook, Pinterest, and others not mentioned here are all places where you can get the word out about what you’re doing online. These sites have proven to be invaluable to many entrepreneurs who run their businesses online, as well as offline. These sites have truly opened the door to gaining hoards of traffic besides just using the search engines like Google.
For example, Facebook has many groups that you can join, and you can place Facebook ads to boost traffic and sales to your business. Twitter is a simple to use platform that gives you the ability to write short blurbs about your business and have those blurbs spread all over the place by having people simply sharing them.
Social sites like these have opened the door to many possibilities for people who have for the longest time been struggling to receive highly targeted traffic to their sites. You can think of these sites as a sort of public bulletin board where ideas are posted, businesses are posted and so much more. And, if you join groups on Facebook, or even Yahoo and Google, you’re bound to receive highly targeted traffic. The more groups that you do join, the better it will be for you in the end. So as you can see here, search engine optimization isn’t the only game in town. There are much simpler methods that you can use to get the word out about your business without having to become a geek in training if you know what I mean.
So if you ahven’t gone social yet, you might want to think about getting started because social is where it is at my friend.
